The makers of El Ron Prohibido rescued the first and original recipe for artisanal rum from the 18th century and brought it back from Mexico to the world's most demanding markets. Solera aging in used sweet-wine barrels gives the range its raisin, chocolate and coffee depth, from a triple-distilled silver to single-barrel XO editions made with Veracruz sugarcane.
